GENERAL INFORMATION
Third Announcement

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the International Conference “Dynamical Systems and Their Applications” organized by the Institute of Mathematics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which will be held in Kyiv on June 22-26, 2015.

The topics of the conference include topological dynamics, ergodic theory, the theory of attractors and chaos, combinatorial and symbolic dynamics, the theory of fractals, bifurcation and stability theory, infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and various kinds of applications, especially in mathematical physics.

Considerable attention will be given to combinatorial dynamics, which has its origin in the well-known Sharkovsky theorem on the coexistence of cycles (Ukrainian mathematical journal, 1964), and which in 2014 can celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Opening
The conference opening is planned for 10:00 on Tuesday June 23, 2015 and will take place in the Institute of Mathematics, NAS of Ukraine.
Talks
Participants are welcome to present a talk on their research topic. There will be two types of talks: 40-minute plenary lectures and 20-minute contributed talks. The conference language is English.

Registration

Registration of the participants will proceed in the Institute of Mathematics at 16:00-19:00 on Monday June 22, and at 9:00-10:00 on Tuesday June 23, 2015.

Registration fee
The conference fee is 80 EUR for foreign participants and 250 UAH for Ukrainian participants and 150 UAH for students and postgraduate students. This will cover a conference kit, coffee breaks, and welcome party. The fee is paid at the registration desk.
Invitation letters
Participants who need an official invitation for obtaining visa, please, inform us by e-mail to cds@imath.kiev.ua soon as possible.
Accommodation
Hotel accommodation should be chosen by participants themselves.

Institute of Mathematics is located in the central city area with a large number of hotels situated nearby. Participants are free to choose any of those according to their wishes and needs.

Below there is a list of several hotels which are located near the center with prices for one person per night and walking time distance to the Institute of Mathematics:

Additionally, in the central city areas like Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho square, the Golden Gate, St. Sophia's Cathedral, etc. there is a number of properties which offer apartments for rent, and the prices start from 30 EUR per night.

In the center accommodation is usually more expensive, so if you choose a hotel in another district, we would recommend you to look for hotels located near some metro station. For instance we can suggest the following hotels:

  • Lukyanivs'ky (Bilorus'ka str. 3, Lukyanivs'ka Metro Station) 26-50 EUR (25 min)
  • Tourist Hotel Complex (R. Okipnoi str. 2, Livoberezhna Metro Station) 30-35 EUR (30 min)
  • Hotel Mir (Holosiivs'kyi ave. 70, Holosiivs'ka Metro Station) 25-45 EUR (30 min)
You can use the cites like http://www.booking.com, http://www.hotels24.ua in order to make a hotel reservation, or you can ask the organizers to book a hotel for you.
Arrival
Kyiv has two airports The main airport is Boryspil. It is located out of Kyiv, however you can use a taxi or 24-hours regular buses connecting it with the central railway station and passing by several metro stations. Airport Zhulyany is smaller, but it is inside Kiev, so you can use taxi or a regular city transport to get from it to your accommodation.
